Skills for Life

The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for over 400,000 young people aged between 6 and 25 years of age.

Welcome to Harrow

Internationally in 216 countries across the world over 28 million young people enjoy the benefits of Scouting. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of individuals, helping them achieve their full potential.

In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are “learning by doing” when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.

Harrow District is located in the London Borough of Harrow, in North West London and is part of Greater London Middlesex West County.

We are a thriving District which comprises over 2000 Scouts. We have 37 Groups and Units covering the London Borough.

Adult volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
