Skills for Life

The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for over 400,000 young people aged between 6 and 25 years of age.

Welcome to Harrow & Wealdstone

Internationally in 216 countries across the world over 28 million young people enjoy the benefits of Scouting. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of individuals, helping them achieve their full potential.

In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are “learning by doing” when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.

Harrow and Wealdstone District is located in the London Borough of Harrow, and is one of three Districts in the Borough.

We are a thriving District which comprises over 900 Scouts. We have 17 Groups and Units covering Central Harrow, Wealdstone, North and South Harrow.

Adult volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.
