Date: 13th Sep 2024 Author: Tyler Skerton

Last night at a venue in North West London, Paul, an exceptionally dedicated, helpful and highly respected Volunteer was awarded a Lifetime Achievement award from Harrow Heroes, presented by The Mayor of Harrow Cllr Salim Chowdhury. Paul Leads the Volunteering Team at Harrow District Scouts as well as being Lead Volunteer for 1st Roxeth Scout Group amongst many other things.

Paul said “I was first made aware about the nomination whilst on summer camp with my Scout Group, 1st Roxeth, and was immensely pleased. This award means so much to me as I have been a volunteer now for 42 years and it is great to be recognised in such a way.  I have hugely enjoyed being part of bringing skills for life to many young people over the years.  I would like to thank and recognise the other nominees for this award – hearing what others have done was inspiring – it must have been a difficult choice for the judging panel! I continue to enjoy volunteering for scouts within Harrow and look forward to the future.
